Find/Replace Tool- A Better Quick and Efficient Scratch!

Do you find it annoying when you can't remember where you programmed something?
You have to search through your game to find it then replace it.
Or do you find it annoying when you copy a sprite and then need to replace one thing for another for the whole sprite?
Well, if Scratch had a find/replace tool you could search (either the whole game, or a certain sprite) and it would show you where a certain thing was and you could replace it with what you wanted. Microsoft Word has a very similar tool and it's help make Word amazing- why not help it make Scratch even more amazing?

thats why you need to keep track of stuff

i think a find tool would be impossible because no script could be searched out based on name or any other way. you just need to keep track of your stuff.

Well replace would be pretty useful...
and you need the find tool to replace...

You could search for when i receive blocks with a certain broadcast

Or you could search for a particular variable used in some script

Are you a mind reader or something?
That's the only reason I wanted this up!
Coz I was wasting so much blimmin time changing broadcasts and variables!

Because i am working on a big project with lots of broadcasts and variables. It gets really annoying searching for scripts that use a broadcast or variable!

SAME! I'm making Pacman and I just made a ghost with a TON of scripting- loads of variables, and loads of broadcasts. I then copied it- changed the looks to the next ghost- but then had to change every single variable and every single BLIMMIN BROADCAST!

Obviously I support myself,
but the only problem is that it may take a lot of time for the Scratch team to program.

What do you mean scripts couldn't be searched out. Of course they could.

Very unlikely.

Post it on Scratch Suggestions; the ST seem to be more active searching for suggestions there.

But you are a New Scratcher, so you can't.

[EDIT: You need to have 3 or more projects to post there, and you have none.]
