Does the "hide" block keep a sprite from interacting?

I'm trying to make a sprite disappear from my game so I was wondering if the "hide" block keeps a sprite from interacting with other sprites.

Yes, it does.  Great question!  To keep it interacting but hidden, use the

set [ghost v] effect to (100)
block.  However, when hidden, it still detects mouse clicks.
