Log-in sessions on Scratch Website not working on Firefox 17.0

Description:
Log-in on the Scratch website does nothing other than redirect to profile page on Firefox 17.0

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Navigate to scratch.mit.edu on Firefox 17.0(beta)
2. Select Login
3. Enter Login details
4. Observe the page redirects to Profile page and user is not logged in

Result:
The user is not logged in after entering Login details on Firefox 17.0

Expected Result:
The user should be logged in

Environment:
Mozilla Firefox version 17.0 (beta channel) . Tested on Chrome Version 22.0.1229.94 m and Internet Explorer 9, with no issue.

Okay, turns out the problem was with a plugin called HTTPS Everywhere from Electronic Frontier Foundation. I'd forgotten I had it installed and clearly the website doesn't appreciate me trying to force a HTTPS connection.
