just went mining, and found a stack of diamond, 43 gold and 2 stacks of coal.

Yogscast are really popular and I watched everything up to Shadow of Israphel then I got kinda bored...
Personally, I find GameChap and AntVenom a bit annoying.

Not even close to impossible. In the last week, from digging a gigantic slime farm and using fortune III and silk touch picks, I've gotten nearly two stacks of diamond.

I have chests and a bed down there. I haven't left my mine, therefore I haven't finished the trip yet.

I agree that they should give more when smelted, but it might cause issues.
Stack of 64 diamond ore and 8 coal inserted into furnace. The furnace proceeds to smelt the ore until it gets to 63 diamonds in the furnace. The game then chooses between 2-4 diamonds to get out of one ore, and there ends up being a stack of 66 diamonds. I'm sure Jeb and Dinnerbone could prevent that from happening.
It's easier to just enchant diamond pickaxes until you get fortune III, and then use only that to mine diamond. Suddenly, 32 diamond ore is a stack and a half of diamonds.

No to just about all of you. Fortune picks should be made less effective, and diamonds should be rarer. Now, diamonds are just a sort of "okay, great" thing. They aren't that special or exciting. Having a diamond pick should be though of as a triumph, not as an average player.
