[c]alls half the country moochers, [and] gets $77,000 tax break for [his] pet horse

To use the words of the Republican party, I accidentally made a factually inaccurate statement.  wink

The real story: The Romney family spent $77,000 on their horse in training for the Olympic event, Horse Dressage, where the horse is trained to act elegantly with minimal human cues. Because the horse made no money, the Romney family claimed the $77,000 as a loss and received a mere $50 tax deduction. Soz.  tongue

Interestingly enough, the horse recieved about $2,000 in medical care, whereas the average United States family spends $1,500.  tongue

Romney: "I know how to get the economy going"
Obama: "I can get the economy going, and here's why..."

When I talk about the middle class, I mean the people between the poor and the rich. For example, I consider myself in the upper portion of the middle class.

Lower class = barely make enough to survive
Middle class = make enough to survive and live comfortably
Upper class = make lots of money

Yep. I do.  smile

I just listened to the "Storm" movement of the Pastoral Symphony by Beethoven (great piece of music, btw), and that kind of symbolizes the country. I'm hoping that we get to the happy movement after that ("Cheerful and thankful feelings after the storm") soon. From my viewpoint, Obama will cause that to happen sooner. (Sorry, bad metaphor  tongue )

Re: United States 2012 Presidential Election

When they talk about the war, all Obama can say is "I (supposedly) ended the war! I took out OBL!"  Is that all he can say about the war? Yep. Because that's all he's done about the war.

He has also taken a bunch of troops out of Iraq and is working on Afghanistan right now.

Yeah, but it's still a war. There's no difference between the war in Iraq, or Afghanistan,

There is now 1 war instead of 2. That actually is quite a big difference.

There are also a lot fewer troops now in Afghanistan.

And is moving out of Afghanistan. And has helped to topple dictators in Libya. And killed many more of the top terrorist leaders.

I'm not lying. You're lying about all that Obama's supposedly done.

Sorry about that. I just had to get that off my chest. Whew, it feels good to let that one out.

Wow. You just insulted 95% of us here. I have to say, that disgusts me almost as much as Romney does. Romney's making everything up on the fly and saying that it's been his plan all along. And must I remind you that the republican party got us into both wars and has pushed to not end them? You haven't provided any evidence for anything you've said. I call the general population of the republican party tribal for a reason; there's no evidence whatsoever. I take that back. there is evidence. They've tried this kind of stuff before, and look where we were when bushs term ended. And after even the first debate, he STILL can't give any specifics. He just does whatever he can to get in power so that he can make sure the top 0.1 percent are as much richer as everyone else as they are now, if not more. Ah, that felt good to get off my chest.
