Hey, check out my new project, Crumble 3.8!
Its basically annoying and useless. What was your reaction to the above line when you read it? Probably something like "Get out of my thread, I'm trying to ask a question!"

Oh, and by the way, could you check out Reconstructing Science?
Jk, that's just to show how annoying it is

Also, (this is important enough to get another post), if a advertised project is related to the original project, it may not be spam. Ex:
Project: Naruto game!
A comment: Hey, I see you like Naruto. Check this out (link to project) ! Its similar, but with a twist added.

when you advertise yourself through comments on unrelated project people dont usually appreciate it

my point is that you can't attribute opinions to people unless they have expressed said opinion

most people would think "thats unrelated why did he post that" so molybdenum was most likely basing his assumptions on the opinions of most people

why? could you tell why this is spam
Hi MossKitty,
Usually "Check out my project!" comments are seen as spam because it's usually unrelated to the project and it makes the poster appear uninterested on the project they are posting on. The Community Guidelines ask for people to be constructive and respectful when commenting - so it's usually better to post constructive comments first and form a friendship with project owners before asking them to view your projects.
