In this topic discuss programing languges! Most people are suprised I like to program and I am a girl

Languges I can program in:
Java
Scratch
Python
Processing
Ruby
HTML
I can only do basic programs. Nothing fancy.

I know Pascal pretty much fluently, Scratch, Python, and Go.

HTML and CSS (although they are markup languages, not programming languages),
1/2 Python,
Scratch.

I'm getting a Java, Android, VB, and C# course next year (excited about that) and I also plan to learn Pascal (great language btw) and Ruby (gonna take that on Codecademy when I finish Python) so I've got a lot in mind. I love web developing and I'm planning a big internet project. I'll learn PHP too (it's necessary) and it'll cost a lot of money (servers and stuff) so I've got my hands full. tongue I might also put it on Ruby on Rails (it's great). My dad is in the database business so he can help me out. I've heard great things about Processing too.

You should use the FPC compiler.
If you're looking for an IDE then Lazarus is the way to go :3

Awesomeness, I'm sure you'll love Pascal, it has been my favorite language over the years.
What I really like about it is that it compiles to pretty much any platform smile

Good luck! So far (as far as I know) there are like two scratchers (going to be three!) that know Pascal. Scimonster and I :p

My dad loves to program in processing, so I decided to try. I LOVE THE CODECACADEMY!

I can program basic stuff in pascal. Im really into math, so I love making math oriented projects.

I would say that the languages I actually know are html, php, css (if that counts), processing, and javascript. I've tried learning Java before and I'm thinking about learning Python. smile

You can make server-side scripts with Python.

Anyway,
I can use Python, PHP, JavaScript, Java, C++, C#, and the 2 markup languages, HTML5 and CSS.

You don't see female programmers that often, that might be why. Personally, all the people I know who have even the slightest interest in programming are male. Except a CS teacher I had.

I know:

Scratch (lol)
Java (basics)
Lua (using ROBLOX's Lua API - want to get into LÖVE or Moai)
JavaScript (using Google App Script API, though I find it quite troublesome to use. No way to get user input without building a UI just for it. >:U )
Python, Ruby (very basics)
HTML (at a "common sense" level tongue <b>, <i>, <a>, <img>...)

I really should stop doing simple "get user input and calculate average" programs and actually get and learn to use a game library. :c
