Why is a tire called a tire?

Because it's based off the word googol, a very big number which is 10 to the power of 100, 10 times itself 100 times. But really, if they wanted the name to be a big number, they'd have made the name Googleplex, based off googolplex, which is googol times itself 100 times.
Why did the guy who made the number googol name it googol?

cuz the term was coined in 1938 by Milton Sirotta (1929–1980), nephew of American mathematician Edward Kasner, when he was nine years old.
