I just started playing, and it's really fun. My Steam is pensivepeppers so add me. I'm also wondering if there's any way to pick up items and obtain them, or if you just find a new class item randomly?
Randomly
Also you have to buy something from the store to trade.

Any problem with that?Well, as Garry (the G in GMod) himself said, for movie making he would go to SFM. Maybe not for everything, such as playing in sandbox, but for movies he would.
IMO, Garry‘s Mod is kinda better. SFM has only TF2 content, while Gmod has TF2, CS: S, L4D, L4D2, Portal and Toybox...
Wait, this is a Team Fortress 2 thread. Why are we talking about Gmod?

Let‘s talk about MvM strategies. Any good tips for Mannworks? I always lose on that map.
there must be engies

I just got $10 added to steam wallet. Goodbye, f2p!
What are some good things to buy? I have some friends who can trade me some extra weapons and stuff, so thinking more of the cheap hat range, like the Safe 'n Sound

Keys. Dirty hats (store ones) are worthless and you could get a clean safe and sound for probably less than one.

i was gonna suggest just getting the rocket and sticky jumper for a dollar because it's enough to become premium which includes the increased drop rate, the chance of hats, and trading, and using the other $9 to buy some other game when it's on sale

'Sup bump.
So I'm too young to play this game. On the internet, stuff about this game is pretty easy to (unintentionally) come by, and I know about the different classes in this game. So, just out of curiosity, what is the difference between a scout and a spy?

They're Son and Father respectively.

Well there are two teams: Builders League United (BLU) and Reliable Excavation Demolition (RED). Each team fights each other, and can be made up of any combination of the nine classes (Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper, or Spy). The scout is extremely fast, but with low health. He also has the ability to double-jump around the map. His default weapons are a scattergun (basically a small shotgun), pistol, and a baseball bat. One added trait is that he can capture control points twice as quickly as anyone from the other classes.
The spy is a master of disguise and precision assassination. He is able to disguise as members of his own team or the enemy team (unless using the knife Your Eternal Reward, and disguise is lost when he shoots) and temporarily turn invisible (can not shoot while cloaked). This allows him to sneak behind enemy lines to attack. His default weapons are the revolver, sapper, disguise kit, knife, and invisi-watch. The knife is one-hit kill with a backstab.

Heh, backstab. Way too gory for my tastes.
But thanks, that's pretty cool!

Medic is fun to play
I just had an epic round: 8 kills, under 30 deaths, 35-45 assists, and wait for it: nearly 20,000 healing.

TF2 is anything but gory in today's video game market.

I played TF2 a few times and I love it! My mom wont let me get it because she thinks its too gory. My favorite class is sniper and occasionaly medic. Has anyone tried quickscoping in TF2?
Wear pyrovision all the time, problem solved.
Or play with the gameconfig or whatever thingy and turn on birthday mode. No more gore.

Funny story - I have two pyrovision goggles - one vintage and one from an achievement. I went onto a server and said "anyone want a free pair of pyrovision goggles?" Expecting to trade the achievement ones (why have two sets) I didn't look and traded away my vintage ones. Then I saw "(other user here) has traded for: Vintage Pyrovision Goggles" and after letting out a stream of words into the chat, got someone who would trade me his vintage set for a reclaimed metal.

My computer prolly wouldn't be able to play it
