What?
The new snapshot. Anvils. They repair tools and kill you when they fall.

It would be funny to have an advertisement for the Anvil block. I can imagine it now!
"With the new Anvil block(*1), you can kill just about anything just by dropping the Anvil block on it's head from above! Annnnnd it can repair tools! So what are you waiting for? Craft the Anvil block(*2) today!"
(Fine print)
(*1)You must wait until the Pretty Scary Update to craft it.
(*2)Requires 55 Iron Ingots to craft.
The Anvil block is not available to hackers, or grievers.

Ah, the memories of playing god...
Seriously. Get a mooshroom milker, and hook the output up to a condenser for diamonds.
Within a week of that project being done, both me and my little brother had full RM armor, and pretty much all the endgame weapons/other stuff.
Well, the dupe bug he discovered might have played a part.
Nah, use an automatic blaze rod macerator

Wait, dropping them causes an OHKO to whatever it lands on? LIKE LOL!! That's the funniest thing in this game since pirate language! And it's also overpowered. So worth mining roughly a stack of iron for.
Unfortunately, I think our favorite engaged game dev nerfed the physics thing for 12w42a. DX

Does anyone else think that the price for anvils is far too high, especially for something that will eventually break?

Yes, it is expensive, but so are Iron Golems. If you have a good supply of Iron, it probably won't hurt too much, but I wouldn't recommend just crafting one to have one to show off.

Lololo my brother could craft about 10 anvils on my survival mode server xDD I could craft one or two.

Using TNT, obsidian and repeaters you can make an anvil launcher

You can create iron farms. And there's a glitch to reset their damage, but I reckon it will be fixed.

It'd be interesting if with two anvils you could fix the other one

If you have a group of villagers close together in a room, an iron golem will spawn (because Minecraft thinks there is a big village and it needs protection) then you have a zombie or something trapped nearby. The villagers will stay away from it, but the iron golem will go towards it. And there's some sort of drowning trap between the zombie and the house and the iron golem dies, another spawns, repeat.

I have a 20-golem iron farm.
I had to destroy it. I had way too much iron.
I have an entire large chest full of stacks of iron blocks. Not running out any time soon, eh?

Does it have to be like an actual village, with village-doors and stuff, or can I just use spawn eggs?
