How do you flag sigs?

I saw someone (not naming) who had a sig that said "Vote for Mitt Romney!" Most of the people on Scratch can't even vote, for Pete's sakes! I want to know how to flag a sig so maybe I can flag that.

first of all i dont think thats worth flagging :P
to flag a signature just report a post by the user and write that you feel the signature is inappropriate

Re: How do you flag sigs?

Considering it's a political opinion, I'd say it's not appropriate for Scratch  hmm

I don't like how Scratch has allowed the Election topic either.

Re: How do you flag sigs?

I think you can just report one of their posts and just say that they've got an inappropriate sig.

Basically this.

My opinion on the specific sig that you're talking about is that most of the people on Scratch are young and cannot vote, and usually pay no attention to political matters, therefore no flaming is caused. The Election topic is for sensible discussion by our older or more interested members, however things can get a little out of hand: The topic will be closed once flaming starts.  smile

Re: How do you flag sigs?

Maybe I should explain my opinion:
So, different people have different political positions. I've had huge fights with my friend about who should win. I was just showing her a button and she was like "That's wrong." and I'm like "No it's not." So, 4th graders are too young, a lot of Scratch is too young.

It's not worth flagging. It's a political opinion.

But still, it's too grown up for Scratch. Just like cussing and stuff.

Report a post by the user and state you feel the signature is innappropiate. But:

^^^^^^^^^^^

If Scratch has allowed this thread, I don't see how they would not allow sigs like that - neither the topic or the signature have sparked any serious problems.

Re: How do you flag sigs?

Yup, Scratch allows political and religious opinions so long as those opinions shared remain respectful of others' beliefs. There's nothing "adult" about voting in so much that it shouldn't be discussed by minors - in fact I think learning about the voting system and taking an interest in how your country is run is an excellent thing and something too few schools actually teach about!

If you do see a signature that you think is inappropriate though, you can simply click "report" on one of their posts to bring it to our attention!

Closed by request of the topic owner.
