To make things more organized within sprites, I think you should make folders addable in the sprites section. I am currently making a Pacman game and have hundreds of point sprites- if I could just make a folder in my sprites called points, then I could put them all in there and it would be a lot easier to navigate between my other sprites such as the ghosts.

ALSO, this could REALLY help with this- when you have to add a certain script to each of those sprties e.g. wait 1 secs
then you could just add it to the folder, and all the sprites will have it in their script area- THAT WOULD SAVE A LOT OF TIME!!!!!!!!!!

I'm afraid Mokat keeps on making mistakes guys.... this is a FOLDER!
I'm not so interested in groups...
What you're describing is practically the same thing as the scratch suggestions thing was describing. The sprite classes suggestion is stating that they would be grouped together, which is basically the same thing as a "folder"

Why does he always say that mokat [and me] makes mistakes?

Because we disagree. We're doing it respectfully, explaining why we disagree, and being constructive, but he just can't take the fact that not everyone's going to support his ideas.

Scratch 2.0 will have a backpack feature where you can store sprites, scripts, and other items, so this is already being added, though this might change by the time Scratch 2.0 comes out.

That's the same thing... Did you read it?

Probably not. Most people here just reply with a generic answer, without looking at the webpage. Proof

no, you actually don't understand
this is not connected to sprite classes. what he is suggesting is literally a folder for you to plop sprites into so the sprite pane doesn't get all cluttered up and you can organize things
the folder would have no value to programming. its just for organizing

Yeah, but if they rejected that, wouldn't they reject something this similar?

it isn't similar either; it is simply a way to organize!

I know they're not the same thing, but you're being very disrespectful like that and it is not polite.
For your example, you wouldn't need a folder, you'd just clone the dots.

The ST isn't going to add something like sprite classes so late in the production of 2.0 when you can do what kayybee said.

But it's not sprite classes. It's categories. They serve no purpose other than cleaning up clutter.
