2 Very Newbie Questions

Hey Scratch!

I've been on Scratch for... I think it's been 3 years now, and I have a few things on my to-do list that I have not done yet. I need help with a couple of different scripts. Please respond to one or all of my questions. Here they are.

Sensors:

This is so the player can't go through platforms. I want to make this for an upcoming scroller. I would prefer not having to use those color things. I know there's a better way.

X and Y scroller with enemies

I have only made one... make that two scrollers in my time on Scratch, and those were just and X scroller. I want to make and X and Y scroller with smooth scripts. Along with that, I also want to add moving enemies, fireballs and stuff like that.

Thanks for helping. I would like, if you could, to break down the scripts and explain how everything works, I would like to know what I'm importing.

Re: 2 Very Newbie Questions

http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=88043 is a good resource for tutorials on how to do some of these things.

Hope that helps!  smile

Re: 2 Very Newbie Questions

This forum post should help with the platformer-without-color-sensing thing (has comments too).

X and Y scrolling enemies can be much more difficult and just how complex it is depends on what the scenario is.
