So today's my birthday and I notice I haven't been as excited as I usually am
(You know, one year closer to death and all)
But I see that I don't really need to ask for anything, as I guess I'm maturing and no longer need pointless 15$ gifts that will get lost in a week. A burden lifted off my family's shoulders for sure. I just asked for a new chair at my desk in my bedroom because my current one is falling apart.
Have you had this experience? Do you no longer feel the need to ask for everything you want and don't feel very selfish anymore?

I AM THE SAME WAY.
It's kind of freaky.
Oh, and Happy Birthday!

I still look forward to my birthday, but it isn't the incredible thing I used to look forward to all year that it used to be.

There's nothing really I want at all, though I'm probably getting a Wii U.

i just like enjoy celebrating it
life's a journey
we should enjoy it instead of dismissing each day as 'one day closer to death' :B
death can happen at any time but while we're here why not enjoy life?

Sane happened with my 12th birthday, a couple of years ago, for the first time I just didn't really want much.

I never really care about birthdays. So since I have no contribution to conversation (stop spelling it converstation, brain!) :
Fun fact: when you are 21 (random number), one second feels shorter than when you were 9 (random number). The reason for this is the same reason that you would rejoice if you were handed 5 million dollars (just insert random huge sum of money if you don't live in america) while Bill Gates would react as if you had just handed him penny (insert small currency here).

I LOVE MAH BIRTHDAY.
Even though this year (My birthday is April 17) i was sick on my birthday, i got alot of epic stuff like Skyward Sword, Minecraft Pickaxe, Mario Party 9, and a few others.
I might be like this next year. I hope not.

It's called fractions.
1 year is a 13th of my life, it's a 40th of a 40 year old's life.

I know how old you are; woah math is helpful.

Happy birthday!
I get the same feeling; my birthday is on the 12th and I'm not like, "OMGEEE IT'S MAH BIRTHDAYYYYY!!!!!!!!"
Don't get me wrong, I'm excited, but not like "WOOHOO!! YOLO!! GOOGOO! *SPAZZ ATTACK* 8D 8D 8D 8D" kind of excited.

One thing is that I've stopped playing with toys.
When I was seven, I told my parents that I made a vow that I was going to be playing with toys all my life and would never give them up. Well, it's inevitable. I've stopped. And my sister stopped at around my age, too.
I don't know what I want for my birthday though, which is actually coming up very soon. I'll ask for a Wii U, I guess, or probably a TV for my room.

I've had that experience multiple times to the point where I don't really feel the need to celebrate my birthday anymore. But I don't think this kind of talk isn't really about making or creating something. It might be a good idea to talk over with a trusted friend or adult about these things instead.
