since scratch is all about getting kids started on programming and is used in lots of classrooms, what if there was a scratch version for educators? there could be a teacher version for instructors and a student version for pupils. the teacher would host a session and the students would connect and work with the project given by the teacher. teachers could make projects with challenges set for students, lock scripts so students cant edit them, and determine what functions (making costumes or sprites, growing or shrinking sprites, using certain scripts, etc) students can use

Nice idea. Hmm... An edit tracker would be needed though if scripts weren't locked. A student could edit it to be anything.
