FAQs
The more you ask, the more answers will appear here!
1a) Why does it show all of the variables when I press SPACE?
1b) Why do I have to press SPACE between visits?
Well, before you quit the game the 'When SPACE key is pressed' command shows all of the variables, then places a large splash screen on top to hide them again, before stopping the project completely. Without these, the variables would stack up in the top left corner of the screen. The splash screen is there so that you can't see the variables on thumbnails and such. Also, to make the game quicker and to load and less likely to crash online, some of the huge lists are cleared so that the online player does not have to load a list that's going to be cleared anyway. Do not worry, your saved data is not affected.

This is a really cool idea. Links to Patches, the Game, FAQ (somewhat), and even a manula!
thanks! it's only a somewhat-FAQ because I've only had those two questions which i could merge into 1 answer

Yup, I like the game! It must have taken a long time to create.

well it's taken 3 and a half months since May, but to get this far has been going on since the last summer holidays when I made my first city game.
my biggest disappointment was having to get rid of the UFO, tornado, and fire disasters as well as the drive-mode from my previous games. This is the 4th in the series and the only one not to feature them. however, I love the size of it all and the isometric graphics which have replaced the top-down ones.

Can you re-upload 1000 and 2000? Some of us would like to see how the series progressed. Thanks!

well, 1000 and 2000 were made using Panther, because they had a clone system. but G:3000 has every feature from before!

if it's saved offline it will work. just click on the top button in the menu. not online.

okay. I was trying offline, but using the space button. Didn't notice that save button at all.

You don't press SPACE until after you have saved. SPACE makes sure the variables stay in their positions, if they have moved into the top corner then move them into the correct places and make sure you press SPACE each time you quit scratch. I might make SPACE auto-matically save the game in Generation: Cities.
