Yeah, I noticed that as well. Though sometimes he had good excuse to interrupt Obama. Obama kept accusing Romney of saying something he didn't.

It went both ways from what I heard.
Which was merely a summary of things on NPR, but still.

It absolutely is better! It's the congress who can't get anything done! The first two years the senate was plagued by the filibuster, which meant that to pass, a bill must have a 60-40 majority. This ended up in many 59-41 losses. Then the second two years, Republicans took control of the House, with the distinct intention of opposing anything that Obama wants to pass. You can't blame president for an uncooperative House and Senate.

Here's a reason why Romney is no better:
Mitt Romney wants to cut PBS in favor of corporate tax breaks?
He says that putting a higher tax rate on the rich will cut jobs. Either
A. That is a lie
or
B. it shows that rich people will lay off workers to take more money from their corporate accounts just to pad their wallets.

Not a good vision of America, either way, and definitely not a way to get more jobs.

Yes, but America hasn't improved since Obama took office. He's had four years, and the economy is worse, not better.  hmm  We have more people unemployed and more people on food stamps since Obama took office.

Yes, you seem to have missed this part. Also, as Biden and Obama have often recounted, "General Motors is alive and Osama Bin Laden is dead." By 2014 all Americans will have health care. While you may not know people who have gotten jobs from the American Recovery and Reconstruction act (I like to use the proper term, this one is more commonly known as the "stimulus"), but they are there jobs created. Roads, bridges, and airports have been updated and repaired. Medicare and Social Security have not been abolished. Don't Ask, Don't Tell has been repealed. Those brought to America as a child are able to at least temporarily stay in the US.
You may not visibly see the impact of these events, but they improve the lives of many Americans, including yourself, wether you realize it or not.

Also I might add that there are more factors in quality of life besides just the economy. Obama has had plenty of bills rejected by an unconstructive congress. The president does not have power to write his own laws, he needs the help of congress.

Excuse me, what?

Under the Bush Administration:
- Afghanistan War (For an unfound Osama bin Laden)
- Iraq War (For nonexistent WMDs)
- Two Tax Cuts (Helped put paying for wars off for... Obama?)
- Housing And Financial Crash (Total: -8M jobs)

Under the Obama Administration:
- Ended Major Involvement in Afghanistan & Iraq (Unlike Bush)
- Orchestrated Osama bin Laden's death (Succesful)
- Modest Recovery (Gross: +4M.5 Jobs, Net: +125,000 jobs)
- Medicare Reform
- This During Arab Spring (Oil price jumps, military involvement) and Oppositionist Republican policies (Everything questioned) and slow European economies...

And if you oppose programs like Obamacare, just remember that Romneycare (Mass. Gov. Healthcare) was the basis for Obamacare, but now Gov. Romney states he opposes Obamacare...  tongue

For the job counts, see http://www.cnn.com/2012/10/03/politics/fact-check-job-economy/index.htm

Okay so pardon me-I don't know whether you know this or not but this is an amazingly bad recession and the Euro is well on its way to collapsing
While you may feel that has nothing to do with you, consider this:
A currency backed by one triple A country, four double A countries and three A countries is collapsing (source)
And that's in May when Greece was well and truly bankrupt (source)
So Obama is doing an incredibly good job keeping you afloat
And if you can't see that

Re: United States 2012 Presidential Election

Giving tax breaks to the rich while raising taxes on the middle class is an abomination. He thinks that those who have more money shouldn't have to pay as much as those who have less.  That's insane!

I would list the other things I have against Romney (it's a long list), but I don't have time.

Seriously? Small slips of the tongue were the main thing that hurt his campaign? It's not good that he made a lot of mistakes but it would be a lot better to judge him on what he's actually saying other than dumb accidents.

Lulysia, or anyone who believes in these policies, if you wanna talk about "self-deportation", truly massive tax cuts, Citizens United, or voter ID laws, please do. Defend your decisions and tell us why they actually benefit us, and cite your source. I do hope someone will...  smile

I really have no idea what you're talking about and I don't know how you got that from my post.

Mitt Romney believes that people are poor because they don't set their goals high enough, and that by taxing them more they will try to get a higher income.
