It absolutely is better! It's the congress who can't get anything done! The first two years the senate was plagued by the filibuster, which meant that to pass, a bill must have a 60-40 majority. This ended up in many 59-41 losses. Then the second two years, Republicans took control of the House, with the distinct intention of opposing anything that Obama wants to pass. You can't blame president for an uncooperative House and Senate.

Here's a reason why Romney is no better:
Mitt Romney wants to cut PBS in favor of corporate tax breaks?
He says that putting a higher tax rate on the rich will cut jobs. Either
A. That is a lie
or
B. it shows that rich people will lay off workers to take more money from their corporate accounts just to pad their wallets.

Not a good vision of America, either way, and definitely not a way to get more jobs.

Yes, but America hasn't improved since Obama took office. He's had four years, and the economy is worse, not better.    We have more people unemployed and more people on food stamps since Obama took office.

Yes, you seem to have missed this part. Also, as Biden and Obama have often recounted, "General Motors is alive and Osama Bin Laden is dead." By 2014 all Americans will have health care. While you may not know people who have gotten jobs from the American Recovery and Reconstruction act (I like to use the proper term, this one is more commonly known as the "stimulus"), but they are there jobs created. Roads, bridges, and airports have been updated and repaired. Medicare and Social Security have not been abolished. Don't Ask, Don't Tell has been repealed. Those brought to America as a child are able to at least temporarily stay in the US.
You may not visibly see the impact of these events, but they improve the lives of many Americans, including yourself, wether you realize it or not.

Also I might add that there are more factors in quality of life besides just the economy. Obama has had plenty of bills rejected by an unconstructive congress. The president does not have power to write his own laws, he needs the help of congress.

Okay so pardon me-I don't know whether you know this or not but this is an amazingly bad recession and the Euro is well on its way to collapsing
While you may feel that has nothing to do with you, consider this:
A currency backed by one triple A country, four double A countries and three A countries is collapsing (source)
And that's in May when Greece was well and truly bankrupt (source)
So Obama is doing an incredibly good job keeping you afloat
