It's something called, respect for the dead, and if someone you know died, would you like people to just say, "Why should I care?" Seriously!

Exactly.
Norberts, you dont have to feel sorry, but if you truly dont care that someones died then you should find a better place to post, seens as this thread is about paying repsect to the dead.

If you are a person who knew smokepool or anything related to that, dont read this.
I was just thinking about how easy it would be to fake a death on scratch. get a few profiles, make projects about your "disease" and how you are "dying" and then say that you are "dead" from a different account or something. This is not meant to be offensive to anyone. Im not saying that i believe this situation is a fake death, but im just putting it out there that it could be.

thats what I think. It isn't hard to fake a death. create an account, post projects about being sick then fade away

Whether its fake or not, its still kind to pay respect for the dead.
Exactly. norberts, if you don't care, why post here? We all are here paying respects, and then you come in and take the "it's a fake" stance. Why not keep it to yourself, instead of insulting people by saying it, ESPECIALLY on a thread that is a tribute!!
As for my respects, it's always sad to lose a member of the Scratch community, especially someone as valuable as Smokepool. It must just be horrible for her family and friends; I can't even imagine what it must be like. R.I.P. Smokepool, you will be missed.

that is a possibility, but its very highly unlikely.

So you're saying that if someone dies, we need to pay respect by spamming it? I will not. What is respect?
Never said I agreed with spamming the front page with all these sign for Smokepool projects, but people want to pay their last respects one way or another, and I doubt a couple of us could change all those people's minds.

But who is this Smokepool?
And who is she?
What happened?
Someone fill me in.

Respect isnt spamming it, but it isnt exactly going and shouting out to the people who DO care that someones died that its all fake and theyre mourning for nothing, either.

People should mourn all these deaths! Whether it's from Leukemia, (smokepool), to Swine flu, (deathiscoming). If people are being rude, ( Like changing the subject to underwear), saying it's a fake death, etc, it's going to make people more miserable!!

I feel really sad, but who is smokepool? (I know it doesn't matter) Also, how did she (or he) die? how old? no information is being given out! I am sad, and feel others should, but scratch is about PROGRAMMING not MOURNING. That was NOT supposed to sound mean, but I really believe scratch is for making things, not showing off drawings or anything else. It's fine to do those things, but also learn how to progam. RIP smokepool!

(I can't belive I'm typeing this again) Smokepool was a scratcher who always got rude comments in her projects. I don't know her in real life...but she died of Leukemia, a blood cancer. If you want to learn more about it, Google Search it or something...

But if she always got rude comments, isn't that making the idea that she faked her death seem more realistic? And seriously, when did I change the topic to underwear?

smokepool has died so share your appretiation by remixing this project!!! ):http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/real-pokemon/573244 ....
adding the exclamation marks makes it seem like you just want people to remix your sctuff. i think chain projects about people dying is a little sick, no one on scratch except for smokepools brother knows her. would you want starngers coming to your funeral? no. its a little bit ike an insult. i am sad and wish smokepool all the best and i think that people have good intentions but what they are doing is WRONG
