Hi I'd like to become a curator. I would select Games, OSes, and programming languages created by other users that are excellent and will also chose other amazing projects that I find. I will try to select high quality projects created by scratchers that are not well known. I would love to be a curator. I would also put out newer projects that have not gotten many views but are very good projects if I am elected curator.

Three projects isn't nearly enough.

What about 10? or do 5? and why did you tell me why?

You have to be a good curator. A good curator wouldn't leave three projects up for two weeks, then be done. You could get really hated for bad curating, like one of the previous curators.

Hi - So I am running for curator.
Instead of me choosing the projects, I will let everyone else get a say on what project should be curated. So I don't upset anyone.
Your goals are noble! But as a curator, you are likely to get a *lot* of requests from people to put their projects on the front-page. You will still have to make a choice and some people are going to be disappointed. It's something you need to be prepared to deal with if you become a curator.
When we pick people to be curator, we are interested in seeing what kinds of projects they think should get more attention. Suggestions from other Scratchers is fine - but we want to see what you think is good

Cool! I would like to be a curator if able!
I'd like to see underrated, yet awesomely awesome animations of any kind! Like: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/zeothehedgehog/2808477
They shouldn't have any more than 35 views. And the creator shouldn't have a project with more than 99 views.

I would LOVE to be a curator, because I commonly search for random things. I also have many... many... favorites. I see a variety of projects, which is one reason I would like curator. I also only add positive comments to projects. If I am chosen curator, I would let unknown scratchers get famous. I want to give other users a chance to shine like a star! Thank you for your consideration. -Dadkid

Can I become a curator? I think I'd enjoy it, since I flag inappropriate projects, so I won't put anything violent up or anything like that. I enjoy adventure and platform games, even simulation games. Thank you!

I've always thought that being curator would be great. (This is my secondary account, so I'm not actually new. My main one is Flashwolf, and my very original was EmeraldJaguar) The project types I'm interested in are varied. Greenatic (If you've heard of him) is my brother, and he's freqently on the forums, and working on Panther. He's always wanted me to see whatever he does, and so I've developed an interest in those things, though I'm not sure about creating them. I also appreciate things that seem to have taken alot of hard work, and are never recognized for it. I've suggested three projects to be featured before, and two of them were featured. (Catgang and a drawing program) I also suggested Catching Craze for curating, and it was curated. I'm mainly aiming for curating things that aren't as well known~ Artists and programmers that aren't in the spotlight, even if they may be more talented than those that ARE more popular. Also, I have a question~ I don't know much about the forums, as I rarely post. How would I know if I somehow were chosen for something? (Such as curator) ~Thanks, TeslaKat

In reply to; jontmy00 (Sorry, I don't know much about the forums, or replying!) I understand that I should be curator on my main account. However, I am currently transferring over to this account. I found that my past accounts almost reflected my maturity, and that, now that I am trying to be more 'mature'' on scratch, it was time to switch accounts. My first one was a kickstart, my second was learning more about scratch, and this, my third, actually is what I want to be on scratch. (Sorry about ANOTHER block of text) If this were a test account, I'd agree with your statement, yet Flashwolf is now to become my 'test account' (Could you tell me how to select what to reply to?) ~Thanks again, TeslaKat

Thanks, brother! I guess you don't do much on Panther... yet you used to!

This is my, like, 20th time applying. :3
Hi! My name is Angelica, and I think I'd be a good curator. I've seen a ton of projects with zero views but amazing scripting and art. There are some things that are really front page worthy, and I'm planning to make that happen. Of course, I'll only curate appropriate projects, and will be open to requests. I will not curate anything with over 30 views. What you would probably see curated by me are stop motion, AMVs, animations, and other things. I will only curate a project for about a day or two, so everybody will have an equal amount of views. I really hope there's an open shift soon, so I can reach my goal of being a front page curator.
Thanks so much for listening,
Angelica

Why don't you people when you become curator just have a project that tells people to comment projects by other people that they want curated, then curate those along with other projects that YOU want to curate? Similar to the way featuring works, only more lenient.
It's a good idea, and I don't think anyone has done this before.
