Re: The Bit Company (Members Needed!)

I see the formal members continue to be real active around now.  Site'll be down soon, keep an eye out for the sign.

I think you look OK, but not being a person in power I can't do much.  However, I am the lead web designer, and I would love to see an example of your work.  Can you post a link to something you've written?

Fill out a formal application.
Really.

You just have to manipulate the jimber into the right conjunction with the first tacklette. Then, manifestate the other tacklette to circumlocute the tinder. Wait, what were we talking about again?

Unfortunately, I don't have any web hosting, but here's the source for a prototype HTML page that I designed for my family:

Code:

<html>
<head>

<title>Link page</title>
<body>
<a href="Link_page1.html"><--Home</a>
<h1>Links 2nd page</h1>
<p><big><b>Other</b></big></p>
<ul>
   <li><a href="http://www.---------------.org/en/" style="cursor:e-resize>-------</a></li>
   <li><a href="http://www.gmail.com" >Gmail</a></li>
   <li><a href="http://www.youtube.com" >Youtube</a></li>
   <li><a href="http://www.w3schools.com" >HTML & Javascript tutorial</a></li>
   <li><a href="http://www.java-scripts.net" >Javascripts</a></li>
</ul>
<p><big><b>------------'s links</b></big></p>
<ul>
   <li><a href="http://www.------------" ></a></li>
   <li><a href="http://www.-------------" >---------</a></li>
   <li><a href="http://www.---------------------" >--------------</a></li>
</ul>
</body>
</html>

Re: The Bit Company (Members Needed!)

Hi guys. THIS is why I'm not that active. (YOUTUBE: Problem with Scratch on Ubuntu 12.04 "Precise")

If you have ANY info on how to FIX this, I would gladly try it.

Laser314: looks fine, I'm sure you've looked over the code for our pages (of course, they're php, so you don't see all that.)  Do you know PHP? Javascript? CSS?

Re: The Bit Company (Members Needed!)

Wait Wait, What? I know FTP means File Transfer Protocol, But why are you using FTP for the website? Shouldn't you use HTTP? I'm a little confused  hmm

If you want HTTP, you could try using Apache. I'm using it in my Ubuntu System to transfer files to my brother's computer over WiFi.

/yeah, it's weird.  Here's the deal:  The website is on a server where if the website is typed in (http://thebitcompany.comli.com) it is sent a HTTP request over port 80 and sent the files that it needs to view the website.  However, when you want to edit the website, you can open a FTP port and connect like that.  Try clicking on the "dev" at the bottom of the page.  (^_^) HIDDEN LINK! It will take you to a web based FTP connecter thingy and if you have the username and password (Link, we can find a way to give you this when/if you join the team) you can access the inner filez (OOH, LOOK, I'M HAXING) 0f 73h|/\|3b$|73.  Get it?

Some CSS some javascript, no PHP. I'm fairly familiar with Python.

Literal:

English
Anyways, The pwner jTron-X owns your boxers.
