Then install PunBB. It's basically the same.
Nononono. PunBB's practically dead, there's no more modifications, the development's basically been stopped and apparently there's some security issues with it too.

If you're just started out, I'd recommend PunBB-Hosting. However, that limits the amount of features you can have -- it's better to make an account on a free web hosting service, download the files for a forum software (I use FluxBB), upload them via FTP, and you're pretty much done. It's easier than it sounds. You need to create a database too, before you install FluxBB. It's extremely simple though, just click one button. Then just follow the instructions.
I'd be willing to help out if you want.DigiTechs wrote:

That'd take ages.

EDIT; You'll need a domain too (don't use a subdomain, they suck). Get a .tk one -- they're free.
I would actually like some help too, I'm working on a forum site. you don't have to though

No, it's not that, Scratch is owned by MIT; it's just that is you have a dumb unrelated domain hosting your website it looks unprofessional.

*slaps hand as (s)he is about so reach for punbb-hosting*
Here's how you do it:
Go to 1FreeHosting.com and sign up
Go to http://cpanel.1freehosting.com/switcher/create
Set hosting plan to 1FreeHosting
Set the subdomain to your forum name without spaces.
Select a domain from the right. I would recommend allalla.com
Enter a password. Any password. This will become your server password.
Enter words from picture.
Click create.
Find "Auto-Installer" on the page you are redirected to and click it.
Select PunBB.
There you go! Just wait for it to finish and go to your new forums. Login and manage.
Please don't use 1FreeHosting. Some people (such as me) can't access most sites hosted there. They also ignored my e-mail I sent about this.

1. This thread is old and useless, I think
2. Just because you can't doesn't mean others can't, and thus doesn't mean nobody should
3. Just use punbb-hosting if you don't wanna take a long time to set up a webpage, @ whoever asked
