How to view Scratch Projects on an iPad

(I wasn't sure which section to put this in).

With this simple guide, you will be able to view projects in the Flash Player on your iPad, and you don't have to install Java. This will also allow you to view other games on educational websites, such as Coolmath Games.

1) Visit the App Store on your iPad
2) Download the Rover browser (you can search for it) - you cannot install it on an iPhone or iPod Touch
3) Open the Rover browser after it has installed, then enter the URL of the Scratch Website into the address bar
4) Log on to your Scratch account, as you are unable to use the Flash Player as a guest
5) Load up a project in the Flash Player, it should run

Limitations:
Projects might be slightly slower.
Key presses are impossible.
You cannot use Turbo Mode.

Maybe this could be moved to FAQ?

Re: How to view Scratch Projects on an iPad

Pretty much every project uses the keypad so the app won't really be of much use

But good guide anyway

Re: How to view Scratch Projects on an iPad

I can list lots of projects that don't use the keypad:

Chess
Pyramid Solitaire
Hexahedron
Spectrum
Spectrum 2
BOX 1.0

Just off the top of my head in one minute, if I spent a lot of time I could list at least 25 more.

Doesn't jailbreaking it void your warranty?

I put the link to an app file of the scratch app on thenscratch app topic which you can install using an app installer without jailbreaking.

You'll need a developer account to install it on your device.

All apps that connect to the internet like that are 17+, there can be some bad stuff on the internet. However, seeing that you used the internet to post that, I think it's not a problem.  smile
