Uh... suggestions. oo;;
I have some suggestions for the Scratch program/software/whatever it's called.
1.) Add a layer system for drawing sprites.
Layers are pretty nifty for when you're drawing. I draw on oekaki (doodle) boards, and the layers they have really help me out a lot.
2.) Add some more drawing tools
I really, really, really, really like using the watercolour tool on the oekaki boards and stuff and the soft eraser and the textures and tones are pretty awesome too.
Other than that...
I really can't think of anything else. ^___^;;;

Just use the
[blocks]<go back( # )layers> and <go to front>[/blocks] blocks for layers. As for more pen designs, call a Scratch team member. I would recommend using another program to make the sprite and then impost it into Scratch.

Razzsputain, you can create a gallery and make it a chat room. ^^
I agree with the layers idea. But why don't you draw on some other program with layers, then flatten the image and import it into Scratch?
Another idea from me - I think Scratch should be able to create a gradient between transparent and a color. It will save a lot of time creating multiple layers, each with more or less "ghost" effect, which also requires a lot of memory.
I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>Offline

A gradient to transparent would be very nice—particularly for getting rid of the "white-edge" cutout lines that are so visible on dark backgrounds. Some programs (like photoshop elements) support different amounts of transparency on different pixels, but Scratch either does not accept the file formats or throws away the extra information.
