New 2 scratch

Hi everyone,

I'm new to scratch, I have been working on a little project but I've come to a bit of a dead end. Does anyone know how to apply a score board to your scratch games? Have been trying to add it on to the end of the game but have no idea where to start.

Have any other scratchers have this problem. and how have other new scratchers coped with their first project?

Welcome to scratch!  smile
If you have questions about how to program a highscore board you should probably ask in Help with Scripts

You say goodbye to 1.4, I say hello to 2.0.

Re: New 2 scratch

Welcome to Scratch littlemisschic! Enjoy your stay! (:

As for your question, there is no current way for a project on the Scratch website to have a self-updating score board, so the only way to make a score board is to update it manually, to make it so that the players have to comment they're score and then you add it manually to the score board in your project and then re-upload it to the website. And for the score board I would suggest that's a background with text for the usernames and scores, or just a list.

Re: New 2 scratch

In the new version of scratch, 2.0, there will be cloud variables. These will enable the possibility of actually having an online scoreboard.  smile
