It's nearing election time almost everywhere! There'll be elections for student government, for our next president... Just no elections on Scratch. Many people were looking forward running for the title of Community Moderator this year. Not for the title of Class Representative, or President of the United States. Some of them maybe had just turned 13, the required age, but they'd soon figure out that none of them would even run in the election. They asked around, wondering when elections would be, and soon Lightnin posted in the 'Announcements' section of the forums:

"As mentioned on the community moderators page, we only hold elections when we feel like there's a need for more community moderators. At this time, we feel like we have enough active mods, and none of the current ones are retiring. So there will be no elections this period."

Many scratchers were relieved to hear that none of the current moderators would be retiring, but several, such as stevetheipad, jvvg, joletole, and JH1010, were disappointed, as they were hoping to run, and possibly be elected. Others just would have enjoyed the excitement of an election on Scratch. Overall, the emotions of Scratchers have been varied as they have been figuring out that there will be no Community Moderator Elections for Fall 2012.


Please tell me how I could improve this. Constructive criticism is appreciated. Is it too short? Do I need more description? Feedback, please!
