A Question

Earlier, I was helping a scratcher, with an overly long script, try to cut it up into smaller pieces. When I first opened the project, just looking at the script (which was six screens farther right then it should be) crashed Scratch, and that was with no programs open. Later, I reopened scratch, imported the same project, and I found that there was a huge performance improvement, though scratch still crashed after awhile. Could anyone explain why there was this huge improvement?

Computers are strange things. Your computer may have been doing something in the background, or Chrome may have been open in your system tray. It's impossible to know for sure  tongue

To avoid crashing, right click on an empty spot in the script editor, and select "clean up". When scrolling, don't move your mouse for a while.  smile

[^^ My computer doesn't even have Chrome, but I agree, computers can be strange at times.]

[What exactly does this do? Does it compress the script or something similar to that?]

[I figured that out after awhile, but thanks for telling me!]

My comments are above ^^.
