Re: compact discs

It'd be hard for normal CD shops to sell things really cheap, same reason that department stores can't discount Apple products any more than 10% (although I seen a 15% at Dick Smiths once). It's called price control.

and yea, it's 100% true. Cars costing 30000 in US costs like 80000 in australia.

Re: compact discs

well they're different
giant retail chains price new cds at like
16 bucks usually
whereas independent ones do it at like 11 or 12 bucks in my experience
so uh idk??

Re: compact discs

I don't listen to much music to start with, but when I do, it's usually just on Youtube. Although my dad still keeps a large collection of CDs and some records...

Re: compact discs

We listen to CD's in our car, but otherwise, we don't really listen to music.

Re: compact discs

I've owned a CD player since the first week they were available in the US.

When I was single, I used to buy a TON of CDs... not so many now that I'm married with kids.  But, I still have about 600 CDs.

I listen to them all the time.  I can't stand the sound of YouTube videos and MP3 files.  For most stuff they can be acceptable, but there are certain artists that just don't translate to MP3.  For example, Sade.  Her voice just seems flat to me when listening to MP3 files.  I need to go to the CDs if I want to listen to her music.

Funny story... my daughter was using a ton of bandwidth on my iPhone listening to Lenka "The Show" on YouTube.  So, one day, I went to the store and purchased the CD for her as a surprise.  When she listened to it on the CD player she was shocked at how clear the music was!

You can get star-shaped throwing stars anywhere, completely circular ones are a unique throwing experience.

some people call them
frisbees

you can sharpen CD's

I don't listen to music and stuff enough to really care about the audio quality :\

I agree, some music just sounds weird as an MP3 file.
No offense to you, but I didn't expect you to be an adult and married with kids, considering the fact that most users are 12-13 and up like me  tongue
