Here is a region idea:
The Singing Cliffs: Tall cliffs jut above a sea of jagged rocks. These cliffs are great in height but small in width, and flat at the top, almost forming islands with a massive drop to the pointy rocks over the ledge. In the center, there is a larger cliff body, and smaller ones surround it. These cliffs are formed out of a unique rock called Tunite, which is a greyish purple color and is very hard (it would need to be or else these cliff pillars would collapse) but it is porous, meaning there are many small holes that go through it, like a sponge. These holes are about the width of a penny. Since this region is colder in climate, but not snowy, there is lots of fog and especially lots of wind. The wind is almost always blowing and it creates a strange whistling/humming sound when it blows through the pores in the stone. These hums ring out a various tones and sometimes seem to harmonize with eachother. This is how the cliffs were named. A few species live here, mostly flying ones.
(I will post some species later. I may even sketch them)
This seems like it will be a really good project as long as we are consistent with the realism of things, if you know what I mean. I could eventually try and sketch a lot of the flora and fauna and someone could set up a wiki. We should also eventually talk about things like stones, gems and ores- they should be unique to our planet as well as the wildlife and foliage.
Oh, and I can also make latin names for everything

Some Species native to the Singing Cliffs:
Teroloph (Aviadactyl Tubicens):
Family: Aviadactyls
Species: Reptile
Diet: Carnivorous
Location: The Singing Cliffs
Terolophs are winged lizards. They have a duck-like beak and a long crest. They have bat-like wings and a short tail. Their backs are covered in hard bristles that quiver when they are angered, which causes a small rattling noise.
Terolophs are usually purple or blue in color and are mostly covered in scales besides their backs which have bristles and their wings which have very thin fur.
Fully grown Terolophs are about 4 feet tall with a wingspan of about 5 feet.
The crest on its skull is hollow like a tube. This tube is attached to their nasal passage, causing the tube to make a low-pitched whistle when it breaths in. They can control the pitch of this noise by closing off some of the passages in its crest. Terelophs use this to communicate.
The wings are long, and a made of a slightly furry membrane that helps them fly with ease through the strong winds. This membrane extends from the fingers to the ankles.
They feed on smaller lizards.
To be continued

There is already a cliffs region. Maybe the singing meadow? Maybe valley?

And that creature seems a little too much like pterosaurs.

If you click quote copy all the stuff and make a new post, then I'll delete this one when you have made the new one.

Ok then. I guess. Thanks. BUT DON'T DELETE IT. Just ask for it to be closed. I might need some info from here.
