Re: The Scratch Library (TSL)

Nah. I'm good at writing, but I'm too busy with PSLE, TSC, and TSC Supplements.

The last two after the former.

Re: The Scratch Library (TSL)

Oh, and do you know how to operate tsc supplements issue 2? I only can see part of the article. Tell jh1010 to include the instructions in the project notes.

Re: The Scratch Library (TSL)

1) One day, a teacher told his students,” Whoever that answers my first question tomorrow, gets to go home first.”
The next day, the teacher saw a disgusting drawing on the white board. He asked,” Who drew this picture?” A student stood up and said,” Teacher, it’s me. I can go home now! Good bye!”
2) Steven told his teacher ,” teacher I want go pass motion. Teacher says,” don’t be so straight forward its disgusting…, ok you can go now. Steven says,” No need already.” Teacher says,”…” because Steven has already wet his pants.
3) Dear Child,
I am writing this slow because I know that you can’t read fast. We don’t live where we did when you left home. Your dad read in the paper that most accidents happen within 20 miles from your home so we moved. I won’t be able to send you the address, as the last family that lived here took the house numbers when they left so that they wouldn’t have to change their address. This place is really nice. It even has a washing machine. I’m not sure if it works too well though. Last week I put a load in, pulled the chain, and haven’t seen them since. The weather isn’t too bad here, it only rained twice last week, the first time it rained for three days, the second time it rained for four days. The coat you wanted me to send you, your Uncle Steve said it would be a little too heavy to send in the mail with the buttons on so we cut them off and put them in the pockets. We got another bill from the funeral home. They said if we don’t make the last payment on Grandma’s grave, up she comes. John locked his keys in the car yesterday. We were worried because it took him two hours to get me and Shelby out. Your sister had a baby this morning but I haven’t found out what it is yet, so I don’t know if you’re an aunt or uncle. If the baby is a girl, your sister is going to name it after me, she’s going to call it Mom. Uncle Pete fell in a whiskey vat week. Some man tried to pull him out but he fought him off and drowned. We had him cremated and he burned for three days. Three of your friends went off a bridge in a pick-up truck. Ralph was driving. He rolled down the window and swam to safety. Your two friends were in the back. They drowned because they couldn’t get the tailgate down. There isn’t much more news at this time. Nothing much has happened.
PS, I was going to send you some money but the envelope was already sealed.

Re: The Scratch Library (TSL)

4) A man is strolling past the mental hospital and suddenly remembers an important meeting.

Unfortunately, his watch has stopped, and he cannot tell if he is late or not. Then, he notices a patient similarly strolling about within the hospital fence.

Calling out to the patient, the man says, "Pardon me, sir, but do you have the time?"

The patient calls back, "One moment!" and throws himself upon the ground, pulling out a short stick as he does. He pushes the stick into the ground, and, pulling out a carpenter's level, assures himself that the stick is vertical.

With a compass, the patient locates north and with a steel ruler, measures the precise length of the shadow cast by the stick.

Withdrawing a slide rule from his pocket, the patient calculates rapidly, then swiftly packs up all his tools and turns back to the pedestrian, saying, "It is now precisely 3:29 pm, provided today is August 16th, which I believe it is."

The man can't help but be impressed by this demonstration, and sets his watch accordingly.

Before he leaves, he says to the patient, "That was really quite remarkable, but tell me, what do you do on a cloudy day, or at night, when the stick casts no shadow?" The patient holds up his wrist and says, "I suppose I'd just look at my watch."
