Stuck on a Scratch assignment

Hi:

I am new to Scratch and I am trying to write a program that determines how much a person should weigh based on a height.   There are two different formulas for male and female. I wrote two scripts but when I  run the program only the first one works.  I am not sure how to connect the m key (for male) and the f key (for female) with the two scripts.

I tried different combination "if f key pressed" or "when f key pressed" but I am still stuck.
Any clues?

Hmm... You seem to be on the right track. Good idea using "if f key pressed" -- if I am understanding you correctly, that might be a good way to go.

Since I don't know what you've done, I'm not sure I can tell you what's not working. Would you be willing to upload a draft or maybe explain your scripts in more detail so we can help?

Re: Stuck on a Scratch assignment

The project won't work anyway because of Muscle Mass that some may have from exercise.

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

It's not meant as an exact function, there is no exact function...it's an estimate based on (I'm guessing) the average BMI of a male and female.

^^Right. I'm 6'3" and like 50 percentile for weight

@lunamar, you could use the forum blocks to show what you've done, or just upload a project

Re: Stuck on a Scratch assignment

Thanks for responding.  I just uploaded the project so far in a gallery called lunamar.
Take a look.

Re: Stuck on a Scratch assignment

I don't know many formulas but won't the weight include how wide a person is?
