Teaching computer programming with Scratch

Hello,

I am considering the possibly to use Scratch to introduce computer programming to primary school's students, on a pilot test.

Initially, it would be 2 to 3 schools as extra-curricular activities.

My question is, what would be the minimum qualifications required for resource persons (teachers) to run courses.

Thanks.

Antony

Re: Teaching computer programming with Scratch

Scratch is a very simple program but is a great start for anyone to learn programming. I don't think it should be very hard for someone to teach, as many of the children/teenagers on here could teach it. Perhaps your schools' technology teachers could learn and teach scratch?

ScratchEd is a community for educators to meet at discuss teaching Scratch. Perhaps you'll find more answers there?
