You must live in a big city or something. We're in a surburbian area with not many broadband options
I wouldn't mind my download speed being slower, I just want a faster upload speed
@16skittles: I use my desktop with Wifi, simply because the modem/router is too far away, and we don't want to buy another modem, let alone install another phone line.

Huh. Still, a desktop that old probably didn't have a wifi card originally, and if it used wifi was probably installed later, with better technologies.
