Re: Aliens

Maybe a plant or something, but I don't think that there's intelligent life on another planet.

There may be some photosynthesizing life, but the probability that alien life would remotely resemble complex life forms on earth is unlikely.

It's constantly expanding, but not infinite. Also, aliens usually mean intelligent life forms. Bacteria fossils and things have already been found on meteorites and stuff. Intelligent life is very unlikely though. I once watched a documentary that pretty much proves that there cannot be intelligent life anywhere in our galaxy. It said that they could exist on other galaxies, we don't have enough information to know for sure, but definitely not on our galaxy.

What's the proof?

Re: Aliens

I totally believe in(Non complex) aliens. And why is everyone saying evolution is fake you're giving no reasons. I think that aliens will also be nothing like us, as they would take a different evolutionary path.

There was a topic about evolution a while ago, and it got closed because it had started to get very flamey (because of one particular user, but anyway). So we probably shouldn't again discuss evolution.

I haven't read this whole thread or anything, but I'd just like to point out that the Bible is not and never will be real evidence for anything.

What he is saying is that it's a religious book, and it has nothing to do with science. Anyways, has anyone heard of XNA? What if Aliens had that instead of DNA?

In his opinion yes
But everything takes a pinch of belief, does it not? There is no real scientific evidence for 'omg alyenz' either but it's someone else's belief-could be you, could be a stranger on the other side of the planet

One of the great things about America is that you are free to believe whatever you want. You are free to believe the Bible, but it is a book of tales that can not possibly be proven. Some of the things in the Bible may be true, others may not, but it is near impossible to prove either way.

If they had XNA that would be an AI... Or are you trying to make a joke about that?

Actually, if you looked into it, you'd realise that the majority of historical events in the Bible have been archaeologically proven. But this isn't a topic about the Bible, so let's not talk about this any more.

Re: Aliens

I saw this once, can't remember where, though:

Spaceship lands, military comes to site. Door opens, alien steps out, wearing a swastika.
"Greetings, I am a Nazi from planet Ger-"
An agent shoots it, turn to the president and says, "Weather balloon?"
He replies, "Yep, weather balloon. Okay men, let's wrap this up."

Can't remember if comic or video, but it was funny.

This has evolved into a religious discussion so I will close it.  Please read the posting guidelines.

In the future, please keep your TIRAP topics focused on a specific book, TV show, game, etc.
