NO! Let's not end the world.Well, at least make it realistic and have some things go extinct.
I don't think it's really a story.
I didn't say it was a story. But all animals die and all resources run out eventually, otherwise it just stays the same forever.

I think they are focusing on a specific "point" in this world's history and not going into any sort of backstory.

Well, a world is sort of a story.

But I sort of like the idea of animals adapting and going extinct and evolving and stuff It's cool! Weren't you ever interested in evolutionary bio?

I like it, but I just don't think it fits with this.

Haven't come up with a scientific name, but I came up with an animal:
Omnichange
This creature is an herbivore if male, and a carnivore when female. The females are usually very rough and large, while the males are the opposite. The males, although weak, must fight to the death against others to win their mate. There is no mating call, the males venture their whole life to find their mate who they will keep forever. Gender is determined after birth, when the creature decides whether its first meal will be meat, or leaves.
They live mainly in crystal savannas, but have had rare sightings in forests.
They range from about 3 to 5 feet wide and are near 10 feet long if female. About 2 thirds of that if male. They are quadrupedal. Males are more at risk, as they are smaller, therefore can easily be eaten by predators, and have less body fat.

Why not?
If they all go extinct, we'll eventually run out of ideas. Also, what if a little kid made a creature, and it went extinct? That might hurt their feelings. People might not agree on making one species going extinct, causing flame wars. And again, it's like a story. Why not ask Hotwire if you can make an RPG with this?

Let's restart this in the TBG forums under RPGs.

Egypt wasn't actually the first civilization. One of the first, but there were several others a couple hundred years before.

We'd run out of ideas anyway! And if a little kid made a creature, and he wanted to make it live for a long time, he'd have to make it adapt to the environment. It's his choice if he makes it die or not. So if it's their decision, there will be no flame wars. Of course, there will be rules that you can't make your animal live forever.
And I don't want an RPG, that's not what I'm saying.

I still don't agree it just seems like having the environment change is too much of a story. I feel as if this should be in a fixed time period. Expect more creatures!

One fixed time period is fine, I guess. But when we exhaust that theme of that time period, we can move onto another one, and use the same creatures, only changed and adapted to the new environment.

Again, kind of a story. Why not just make a new thread with your ideas? Sorry.

What? A bit of story isn't that bad. Besides, it'd give us something to do once we ran out of things. There's no need to kick me out because of my ideas.

I'm not kicking you out. Just saying that maybe we can have 2 planets, one storyless, one with one.

No. I'm still allowing you here.

Okay sorry, I haven't been here, Scratch broke for me again. Anyway the thing with the story is off limits, and I'm making no exception. We're creating a world stopped in time until we're finished. Imgine nothing has happened yet and it has all just appeared. There is no 'backstory'.
Also ImagineIt I'm gonna make you an Admin of this creation. So you help with keeping it on track. This does mean I'm gonna need you to round all the ideas submitted so I can post them.
