Oh. Just wait for people to ask, and then link this...

but this might inspire people who had never thought of making a tycoon to make one, rather than just those who are desperately stuck.

Common Errors & Possible Glitches
One thing which may happen is that your game may not work online. Just like my Generation: 4000 game, it may crash peoples' internet browsers. So, how did I fix my game? Did I just wipe out the soundtrack and reduce it to a couple of MBs? Or, did I re-write the scripts for the whole thing and still keep the project at over 8MBs? As you can guess, it was the latter, and here's how.
When a project has a script that is too long or too wide, it can cause problems online. So if you had a sensor that said 'If not touching sprite 1 or sprite 2 or sprite 3 or sprite ...10' then you will end up with a seriously wide script. If that script is extremely long, that will not help either. The game will have more success if you split it up and have broadcast messages to each new section of a script, and having all of the sensors on separate levels.
Another thing is that you may have too many sprites. If the sprites are all the same, perhaps a stamping system which can detect which one is each when the player interacts with it maybe better.

Never delete the music if your project crashes online. You see, 9MB is not much at all. YouTube videos for example are much larger, and almost any computer should be able to handle a YouTube video without crashing, it's the speed at which it loads that is determined by the power of the computer. So if your project is crashing online it is not because it is too big, as even a 20MB project (if it were possible) would cause no problems, considering that a YouTube video would take just under 10MBs per minute of the clip, depending on the resolution settings.

you should wait until it reaches the second page--it also looks kinda silly when more than half the posts here are bumps. the time between the most recent bumps are fine, two weeks if no one posts.
anyways, great guide, but I think it's a little too specific to become a sticky. stickies are reserved for things like "common suggestions" in the suggestions forum, etc. that everyone should read because it's such a common subject. However, I haven't seen anyone ask about a tycoon project yet (there may be a few though) but it's not quite a common topic.

I used part of it for my next tycoon, though not all of it. Anyway, nice guide!
