Minecraft In-Game Games

There's quite a few awesome games you can play while playing minecraft. You know, spleef and stuff.

My ideas:

-Arhery! You could use pistons to make a moving target.
-Boat Racing! You and a friend could have a boat race.
-Golf! A golf course, using snowballs as the ball and ice as the course.

There's also this epic one a friend told me. Make a singleplayer world with cheats enabled. Type a seed that spawns you next to or near an npc village (or you could just find one on a normal world). Set your gamemode to creative, and give yourself diamond tools and armour (use iron tools and armour if you want a challenge), a bow, arrows, snowballs, and ghast and blaze spawners. Spawn loads of ghasts and blazes around the village, hide in a house, set your gamemode to survival, and try to survive  big_smile  It's really fun and hard, the only downside is that you have to create a new world every time you want to play.

Post your ideas here!  big_smile

Heh heh, yesterday, my little bro spawned a gazillion ghasts and blazes on a superflat world and just ran around for his life.  tongue

Spleaf: Each player stands on a tree. Then all trees are chopped down. Who falls down first, loses.

Re: Minecraft In-Game Games

Here's one that I always love playing on Multiplayer maps.

CoD: Minecraft

Make a map, use the Nether or download a map, then go onto Creative mode or use TooManyItems. Give each player half an inventory of arrows (stackable) and another half of snowballs (stackable). Then give them a plain bow and tell them to enchant it if they wish. Give them all the armor of their chose (they can enchant too) and wear something different than them to show that you are a referee (vanilla leather works best).

They all have their own spawns (beds) and the rule is to kill everyone. Use iron doors at the spawns to make sure that they stay at their spawns once they die. Add chests around the place with one full stack of arrows and snowballs. The last person surviving gets some cookies. And they can keep their armor. Also, make sure that PvP is enabled as well.

Nice! There's this 'infected' server I go on sometimes where 5 random people are chosen and appear as zombies. When a zombie kills a player, they turn into zombies. Last one standing wins! It's quite fun  tongue

Re: Minecraft In-Game Games

Heres another idea,

Lava Runners

Experienced building skills required. Make a parkour-style game which involves pistons. Make a tunnel and below, use sticky pistons to hold the floor. Once a switch is pressed, players will have to make it across the levels before all of the floor goes. Here's an example of the tunnel:

                               Block
                        Block       Block
                        Block       Block
Redstone StickyPiston Block
   Block

Use redstone repeaters to add delays to the floor, that way, they won't all go off at once!

Re: Minecraft In-Game Games

I made one up called Village Defence, but it only works in the new snapshots (1.4)
You find a village, grab a sword in Creative, and switch to Survival. Keep a zombie egg in your inventory. (Also, turn on Hard difficulty)

When night comes, spawn a zombie in the village. Wait ten seconds to give the zombie a headstart. Then try to keep the villagers from getting turned into zombies by killing the zombies. After all the zombies burn up, count how many Villagers you have left, and that's your score. You also have to take away points depending on what kind of sword you used:

Fist: -0 points
Wood/Gold Sword: -1
Stone Sword: -2
Iron Sword: -3
Diamond Sword: -5

If you want something to do while Scratch is down, check out tbgs.tk! It's the new version of the (closed) Scratch TBGS, run by Scratchers! I'm going to spend most of my time there, anyway.

With the new customisable superflat add this code:

95

Item ID = Locked Chest.

These slowly dissappear due to coding. See how long you go.

Actually, I built a redstone machine for him that kept spawning nether monsters rapidly, and then I would switch him to survival. But since there were a gazillion fireballs coming at us the moment I switched game modes, I ended up doing most of the running.  tongue

Put in the flatgrass prefix 12, break a block, and try to outrun it! Not my idea.
