Taking .wav Files In Scratch Resources

I have a lot of .wav sound files on my computer. And it's really annoying when I try to upload them to Scratch Resources because it only accepts .mp3 sound files. So I was thinking .wav files could be accepted.  smile  Scratch On community!

Re: Taking .wav Files In Scratch Resources

I think it's because mp3s are significantly smaller, but I'm not too sure.

There are converters if you need them.

Also, using mp3s instead of wavs in scratch projects conserve space.

Re: Taking .wav Files In Scratch Resources

You can just convert them with something like iTunes, LAME, or Audacity.

Audacity also can edit the sounds and it's free.  smile

^^^^^^^^

.mp3 is much smaller, raw .wavs would waste so much more space in Scratch Resources (which iirc, is managed by community members, not the Scratch Team).
