I might give it a chance. Any other suggestions?Hm.... have you seen Bleach or One Piece? I'm personally not a fan of them, but you might like them. They are targeted towards the same audience that Naruto is targeted towards.
Or, if you are looking for something different from your usual genre, I could recommend some anime that I like.I don't watch Bleech because my mom is overprotective and I do not want to watch any manga that is mature.
There's this one mange called Yakitate!! Japan that's really funny (well, everything but the last part...). It has a few curse words and a few things that'd be awkward to explain to someone looking but overall it's pretty kid-friendly. I don't think it's been released in the US, though there's a fan translation online.

You're not the only one in the world.... but you ARE one of very few.

Hey yall, tell me what you think of this idea.
I am thinking of making a manga series that is a cross between steampunk and a dystopia, but it would also be a mix of sci- fi and fantasy.
It is about a group of teens living in a totalitarian state and seek to overthrow the government. The emperor is the antagonist and has an army of steam powered robots. There is even a steam powered mechanical dragon.
The emperor himself would have a mechanical arm that can transform into a firearm.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai, anyone? ^^
I would watch that, but the first episode's name scares me. ;A;
Oh, don't worry. There isn't any incest. ;^^ In fact it's actually a very funny show. ^^
I recommend trying it.
Thank you, that's very reassuring. ^w^

I am looking for an anime to get into. Any suggestions?
How old are you? Or just about your age range? Are you a girl or boy?
I am a 16 year old male. I like the Last Airbender, Legend of Korra, Yu- Gi Oh!, Naruto, and Sonic.
I want something that is not a childish manga, but I want it to be no worse than Naruto when it comes to mature content level.
I've seen a few epsides of Avatar a few years ago at a friends house, but I've never watched/read any of the others... I'll let you know if I think of anything, but I watch things that kind of fall onto another branch of Japanese pop culture. ^^;

So how bad does Soul Eater get? I do not want it being too inappropriate.
It can get pretty inappropriate.... Usually in the scenes with Blair. I honestly wouldn't recommend it if you are sensitive to ecchi, violence, insanity, and kind of creepy expressions. ;^^

I've heard it's really violent. I'm guessing that it's kind of like 'Another' on that scale.
BTW, any like 'Another'? I haven't seen many horror animes, but Another is my favorite horror anime from what I've seen.
And 'Higurashi: When They Cry' is my favorite horror manga. (Never seen the anime eheheh.)
Oh, and has anyone read 'Mahou Shojou of The End'? I've seen three chapters and I thought the idea of horror magical girls was good, but there was lot of things that could have been improved on.

No. It's nothing compared to Higurashi and Another. The violence level is... I guess 67%.
Also, the Higurashi anime is really good. ^^ I recommend watching the sub though. The dub is pretty bad. ;^^

I have not yet built the courage to watch Soul Eater. I try to play it safe when it comes to selecting anime and manga.
I saw a 22 sec You Tube vid with Blair in it. She was n***d, but it did not show anything inappropriate.
Any other suggestions?

Hm..... Shakugan No Shana? It has a few scenes with Shana half n***d, and the first episode is pretty creepy, but it's not as violent as Soul Eater. ^^ There is twincest though, and a few other edgy things.... but it's not too bad.
Durarara is also very good. It has a bit of blood, but overall it's not that bad. ^^ It's a very intelligent and clever anime that is well planned out with great characters.

Shakugan No Shana
"He had thought his normal days would last forever, until they were ended abruptly by an encounter with a girl with red hair and eyes. He named her Shana.
Not long after he enters high school, Sakai Yuji’s normal days come to an end. He sees something bizarre on his way home: people are frozen in a strange fire, and a monster that looks like a large doll is attacking them. Just when he's about to be killed, a girl in a dark cloak wielding a large sword appears, and slices the monster in half. Although Yuji survives the strange encounter, the girl informs him of a desolate truth: " 'You' don't exist anymore."
She calls herself a Flame Haze who hunts "Guze no Tomogara"; intruders from another world. She explains to him that he is a "Torch", a substitute of Yuji whose “existence” has already been devoured. She also told him that he is a special Torch, "Mystes", which contains a precious item in it. When he looks at his chest, he sees within himself a faint flame, just as she said.
It is in this way that his eternal struggle alongside the girl begins." - MyAnimeList.net
Durarara:
"In Tokyo's downtown district of Ikebukuro, amidst many strange rumors and warnings of anonymous gangs and dangerous occupants, one urban legend stands out above the rest – the existence of a headless “Black Rider” who is said to be seen driving a jet-black motorcycle through the city streets.
Ryuugamine Mikado has always longed for the excitement of the city life, and an invitation from a childhood friend convinces him to move to Tokyo. Witnessing the Black Rider on his first day in the city, his wishes already seem to have been granted. But as supernatural events begin to occur, ordinary citizens like himself, along with Ikebukuro's most colorful inhabitants, are mixed up in the commotion breaking out in their city." - MyAnimeList.net

I am sorry for all the questions, but I am choosy when it comes to anime because I want to make sure I made a good choice and nothing too inappropriate.
As for Naruto, I did not watch the show, but I read the mangas.
