Maybe in a later version, the ST will make it possible to choose different themes of the site, and "old Scratch" could be one of them? It would be all the same features, but it would look more similar to 1.4, for those with a severe case of nostalgia.
No, I'm afraid that's not possible.
There's gonna be a lot of sadness when the old site goes - from me as well. Not because I don't think the new site will (eventually - maybe not at first) be better, but because I've spent a lot of time on the old site- it feels like home in a way that the new site doesn't yet.
I keep thinking we need to have a funeral for the old site, or maybe a going away party? Not sure what to call it yet... But one idea is to have a Scratch Design Studio where people make nostalgia projects for the old site - kind of a scrapbook kind of thing? I don't know - still thinking of ideas. If you have suggestions, please let me know.I'm gonna make a nostalgia project a week before the dates are announced.
I already made a folder with Old Scratch screenshots.

I have Aspergers too, and I don't mind with some of the changes.
You just have to learn to put up with the updates. Once it's released, it'll be good.

That would require an announcement for the announcement.

I am going to wait a little bit (probably a month) so the pictures will seem rare.
And no.

Uhh...So, I just saw the preview video... I'm kind of sad about it. I grew up with this homepage, and I've grown to love it with all my heart. Now, it's turned into facebook (a website I personaly don't like at ALL.) and I feel like I'm going to cry. Sure, some of the new features look cool, but I like downloading projects and exporting sounds and sprites... I just wish I could still have all that.... Anyone else kind of sad?
PLEASE don't nag/troll me. I have Aspergers, and it's one of the reasons I react negativley to changes.
Oh, and if a scratch team member sees this, is there ANY way you could have a setting/feature where I can view it like the old page and post projects normaly? It would be a big help...
Please understand that I think it looks cool and all, and I respect oppinions, but PLEASE know that some of us don't like all the changes... Thanks for hearing me...

This isn't a necropost seeing this topic is still relevant.

It's too Facebook-esque, and I couldn't navigate a darn thing.

You don't have to switch over to Scratch 2.0 when it comes out. You'll be able to upload 1.4 projects into 2.0.

Now that I've been to 2.0, my answer to the title is...
NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Though I've been eagerly waiting for the new version, it's great to know that. Choice over all c:

Oh Ya!!!!! That is what i spent the last 3 days on this website looking for. I'd enjoy having a version of scratch that works online, but I would really miss the old version. Thank you for posting that. Also, as a suggestion, the side of the screen where the sprites are and the side of the screen where the scripts are are reversed in 2.0. Maybe someone could change that back to normal.

I know how you feel. I'm not liking 2.0 Beta either.

Well, it's a beta and it;s still open to improvement. It's very troublesome when people say they don;t like the beta and don't say why; that kind of stuff only makes it impossible for us to figure what what needs to be fixed and what needs to get improved before the release.
