People who have contributed to the creation of this planet/world
Hotwire, BirdByte, ImagineIt, Agg725, zubblewu, AgentRoop, soupoftomato, owetre18, jukyter, Wickimen,
I'm Hotwire, and you may know me through my projects or through seeing me on the forums. If you have ever come across me you might notice I am good and enjoy drawing. I love be creative and something I've never tried to do is create an idea the scale of a world. Why? Well, because it is just too difficult. You need more than one person to do that. So that is where YOU come in. I want to create an entire world in such depth that it almost seems real.
How is anyone going to do that? Well, we need to take this slowly because to be honest we didn't even know our own world wasn't flat for a few (insert number here) years. So we gotta start with the basics, materials and physics. Then once we got that sorted we can do everything else in any order we want to. BUT it all has to fit together, remember our world is one massive cycle of nature and life. If we have something linear, our world will fall apart. Now don't worry we can't get this perfect even our world isn't perfect and that's not made by humans!
Alot of this will require intelligence and inginuity so if your quite young I suggest leaving the more technical parts to older people. This doesn't mean you can't take part! You can take on this project any way you want. You can create a Scratch project or write an account of a part of the world. You can draw plants and animals, create new landmasses (mind they will need to be aproved by others taking part). You can unleash the wrath of your imagination into this world.
One exception when creating the world you may not create events. Imagine time has stopped and nothing can take place like gravity and movement even light and sound!
Anyway I've probably done enough talking now it's time to hand over to you.
Oh and we need a name for our planet/world. (Start with our planet then we can move onto the solar system.
Name of World/Planet
♦ Epilithe - (planet) from the word epilithic which means growing on the surface of rocks.
Regions
Crystal Savannah, all of the Grasses growing there grow extra large, and they are all over.
The Frozen Caverns: The coldest place on the planet, also the deepest. They glow red as you get closer to the core. Thought to be where life on Epilithe started.
The Razor Forest: Most flying creatures live in the tall trees growing here. It is believed that an ancestor of every creature in the forest lived there and had a tail as sharp as a razor. No fossil remains have been found.
The Acid Ocean: An ocean made completely of a corrosive acid. Very few creatures live here.
The Fog Cliffs: These Cliffs always are covered by a mysterious fog. The fog is extremely thick and only creatures with extreme sight can live here without falling off of the cliffs.
Features of the home plant
10.5 * Earth's Diameter,
Sub-zero mercury core, mixed with Witerain a highly dense and flammable material with reverse states to other materials (solid, gas) and it is slightly magnetised.
Rocky,
Made of mostly Retaine. it's basically the planets mantle but instead it is called the Crest(Igneous like rock, formed when sub-z mercuary hits new planets air)
Distance from Sun. Approx. 3.600.000.000 miles (Almost equal to pluto)
Plant matter
Crystal like grass. (Almost looks like frost covered grass)
Gelu Bibitor(Google Translate, sorry.)
aka
The Frost Drinker
This plant LIVES on the cold. It produces a protein that freezes at low temperatures, then uses the frozen protein (Minerals are frozen in it) to get energy. Animals will eat the protein because the plant produces more than it needs and so it only means the plant will grow slower. The protein is very pungent to defend itself against unwanted feeders. It also tastes horible too.
Animal Matter
Thick body fatted creatures to keep them warm.
The animals that survives the best in the certain region is the dominant

How about the planet is as large as a gas giant, but still rocky.

Interesting stuff! I would love to take part.
Dump anything you want on me.
Awesome! Quick response.
So I reckon for basic stuff the home planet should be made of rock of course but unlike earth the core is sub-zero mercuary. Throwing something interesting in there. So it's cold rather than hot. It should also be mixed with a new metal not on earth's periodic table.
Then I think the crust/rock should be called Retaine (Ret-ain) which has similar properties to igneous rocks but is formed when sub-zero mercuary (we can find a specific name for that) hits our planets air. (We'll have to figure out the elements in that).

Let's make a scratch project with all the info

Which one? They are all very different sizes. Also for the rocky part read what I just wrote to Bird.
And a scratch project sounds awesome! How about we make one all about how it's made up so elements and stuff.

How about, in between Jupiter and Saturn?

Yeah! Maybe this should be in collaborations then?

Well I guess it could go there. But let's leave it here for now. I can create (or you can) a topic specifc for that project.

"Saturn's diameter at its equator is 74,600 miles which is almost ten times that of Earth."
Jupiter: "and a diameter that is 11 times larger."
So 10.5?
Sure!

So far:
10.5 * Earth's Diameter,
Sub-zero mercury core,
Rocky,
Made of mostly Retaine.
Can it support life?(I love doing these imagination things. Guys, let's use bubbl.us to help brainstorm!

Ah yes, this is coming along nicely! Hotwire, your ideas are fascinating
Ty! I like reading. The sub-zero stuff is something my dad told be about. When you freeze mercuary to that level it becomes almost gas like and can flow through a pin hole in seconds. I might have to read into it.
OOH! Actually if it is true then you can get mercuary volcanoes in which mercuary can sometimes escape through the planets crust if there is too much pressure. (I'm doing tectonic plates in geog atm)

Well we'll have to figure out the elements in the air and figure how they breathe and support them selves using this. Designing life will be blimin difficult. (That is if we don't use the air we have in earth.)

We don't need to know the elements, as the organism would have different DNA and our poison might not be theirs.

Aahh! Good point. I guess if it can support life we know it's not harmful. What sort of life should we have? humanoids and other stuff like earth?

I think that the main planet should have totally different looking creatures, all based on their environment.

What sizing do you think they should be?

How about varying ones, like here.

Well I mean they aren't any over 100m really. Do we want bigger than that because our planet is 10.5 times bigger?

That seems pretty good actually, because that's how it works on earth.

Hmm... soil. Well. We don't have any water yet either. atm we're deciding on the basic organism on the planet.
I reckon we should start patching up our rock sphere with plant matter and water and other stuff like that. we can start with regions because our planet is so big we can't globally set the soil the same. It will have to be different in places.
