Habits: are they a recipe for disaster?

So we have to say whether habits are a recipe for disaster for a writing prompt. We can use a poll. And what better source could I have than our wonderful community?  tongue .

So, do you think habits are a recipe for disaster? Before voting think about this; if you get stuck in a habit and never feel the need to improve, you won't be doing the best you can, and you might fail miserably. (I hope this fits since I'm making and creating habits  tongue  (and a writing assignment as well))

Depends on the habit.

Re: Habits: are they a recipe for disaster?

I can't really say yes or no; it really depends on what habit you have, as BirdByte said.
Maybe you can add a neutral decision? You can develop both good and bad habits.

Re: Habits: are they a recipe for disaster?

@servine_ It means any habit at all. Habits in general. Just take every habit and average them or something  tongue . And neutrality does not exist U_U

Re: Habits: are they a recipe for disaster?

Well, like some others, it depends. A habit of watching TV when you get home, or not paying attention to where you're going while your walking (watching osmething else) is bad, of course, but a habit of going to bed early or eating healthy is good.

PS. You don't have to fail because of the poll. You can say something like "Even though most people said no, my opinion is..."

"The Enrichment Center is required to remind you that you will be baked, and then there will be cake."

True, but our sources are supposed to back up our opinion  tongue . And I've only found one of those...(sources)

Everyone's opinion is different. For example, my opinion on Martiscratch's copy of 50 Bits is that it is a copy, while nama says its a remix. But I guess sources should back up opinions  tongue

I think it's a remix cuz they changed the scripts.
Even if you explained how to do it it's still a remix imo :p

It's kind of impossible to give a definitive answer for both good habits and bad habits at the same time, since, well, good habits are good and bad habits are bad, you can't give one answer for both of them

Re: Habits: are they a recipe for disaster?

There are positive habits, and negative habits. For example, picking your nose is a bad habit. This is something that is common, and a habit that is hard to break. A good habit is brush and flossing often. This improves your dental health, and due to this makes it a good habit. So they can be positive or negative. Another way to look at this, is look at the science behind the habit. For example, what part of the brain causes habits? How are habits obtained? Also, another thing that may apply to this, I'll give an example. Say you take a shower. Nine out of ten times, you'll dry off in the same pattern. You might do a left leg, then the right arm, then the left arm, same time every time. So maybe this "habit" could also be something to look into?
