Actually this is already available, just click "Camera" under costumes

At least I think that's what you mean

Can you please explain your suggestion disney22girl? Scratch already supports some features such as making costumes or backgrounds by using a webcam, but perhaps you are interested in some other kind of use for webcams?

The webcam sounds like an interesting idea in scratch 2.0. I only know the basic idea. But it would be cool.
