controling the x-postition

hi all,
i would love some help.
i am creating a game and the cat need to say if it is on the right side or left side depending on the x position. What scripts do i use to do this???

On the right of what?

If the screen,

if <(x position) > [0]>
 say [I'm on the right!]
else
 say [I'm on the left!]
end
