PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: - One of the fullscreen button's costumes has a slightly different position than the other, making it look kind of weird. I think this is what some people were calling "flickering".

Problem: 1 okay first glitch i notice is that ghosted sprites stamp their ghostedness onto the stage instead of the regular costume. in nearly all my projects i relied on the fact that ghosted sprites stamp normal prints. this means a lot of my old projects have gone to utter worthless trash link
2 next it seems like the script timing is different. in the game in my sig, the map renders, then "npc" characters are supposed to be stamped on top of the map, but the timing is off so the "npc" characters don't show up online. They show up when downloaded however, and it worked in the old flash player. link
3 slider variables don't display correctly link
4 turbo mode doesn't work like it used to. now my raycaster is broken link
all i ask for is that you dont totally trash all my old projects. i worked really hard on them, and I dont want them to be rendered unplayable by the flash update. also I dont think it shpould be my choice to update all my old projects to work again. if it worked before, it should work now. any ruining of projects is totally inexcusable. so unfortunately, as of right now, i hate this new player. its a shame 'cause it looks nice, and i would like the ghost-stamping, its just that you've ruined a lot of my best projects, all of which have many hundreds of hours of time investment.

I am using windows 7 home premium edition v6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 6701. My Internet browser is Chrome.
1. It is much slower than java player
2. Repeat blocks do not rapidly repeat
EXAMPLE: (Link to project)
Try switching between the two players

P.S. I'm not getting TRocket's fullscreen button glitch.

For whatever reason, loading projects takes longer than I was used to. At least, as far as I can tell.
Example of slower-loading project: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/ubrecma/2733559
[Edit by Johnm: Could be that the server was slow when you tried it. When I tried it, this project loaded faster in the Flash player than in the Java one. Could you try it again?]

use turbo, slower than offline turbo
[Edit by Johnm: Thanks for the report. For many projects (e.g. the 3D computer desk, Canthiar's ray tracer), the Flash player in turbo mode is much faster than either Scratch 1.4 or the Java player. But, you're right, for this project the Flash player in turbo mode is not as fast as Scratch 1.4 in turbo mode, although it's still quite fast. For what I can tell, the change color effect block is what makes it slower. If you take that out, it really zips (but, of course, isn't nearly as pretty). It's useful to know which operations are slower.]

In this project, the character sprite flickers as you move (I assume as a result of the vector graphics and the fact that the sprite is probably not on an exact integer coordinate). I'm not sure whether this is intentional or not, but a solution may be to just round the position of each sprite when rendering it (not that I have any idea of how flash works).
[Edit by Johnm: You're exactly right. The flicker arises from an interaction between the anti-aliased rendering done by Flash (which makes graphics look smoother), the non-integer position of the sprite, and the very tiny costume. However, it can't simply round the position of sprites or your lovely physics wouldn't work right. It *could* keep two sets of coordinates -- one rounded, for display, and one not, for the physics. Meanwhile, a slightly larger and perhaps lower contrast costume (gray rather than black) might flicker less. Thanks for reporting out this problem!]

I guess it's not exactly a bug, but it's still a problem.

My suggestion is to download and use Google Chrome.
Although, I have this problem too, since they switched to the 2.0 player.

I'm using a Windows Internet Explorer 9.
My Flash Player version is
11.4.402.265.
On my project EPNinjaObjective I experienced a glitch where I had a stamping sprite that would stamp on my scrolling background, it worked in the old version of the Flash Player, but now the stamping won't show.
My other projects that use stamping still work, but in this particular one the sprite is hidden, so I think the problem is that hidden sprites can't stamp anymore.

I will put this in here even though I think you already know. Some musical instruments are not sounding right and some of them do not even exist. example- my tubular bells project sounds like timpani drums! Tubular Bells (or should I say Timpani Drums)(Something to do with MIDI (or lack of it?)
{edit} Colour sensing does not seem to work either...

BUG REPORT
Hello, i did not read all posts, so maybe someone already reported this bugs i noticed.
First, some projects work a bit slower. Also some games with scrolling don´t work like they have to. If the location is made of 2 big sprites they appear very fast on the left side and then again on the right side, but they have just to stay on the other side.
The old player hadn´t these bugs, but maybe bases the flickering bug on the slowness bug.
on this project you see it flickering: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/TM_/2239718
Another problem: One of my fans noticed a bug 10 minutes ago, a whole project isn´t working. In my game you can shoot a laser with a mouseclick. With the old player it worked without problems, but now it doesn´t work.
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/TM_/2489524 (it works with java, so you can see how it have to look and how it looks with the new player)
I hope you understood what i´m talking about and are able to fix this bugs.

The full screen and turbo mode indicators were visible for me earlier, but now are not! Yet, turbo mode still works, as seen here.
Edit: Whoa, it was just working, now it's not again...
Edit2: It works again...
AHA! It works the first time you load the page, but not when you refresh!
[Edit by Johnm: This problem should be fixed now.]

Guys, the reason it takes longer for the loading bar to appear is because the player itself has to load before it can begin to load the project.
The size of the old player was 430.7 KB
But the size of the new player is 1.9 MB
It is going to take longer for the new player to load, just try to be patient. Maybe the Scratch Team can make a more efficient revision, with respect to it's file size?
[Edit by Johnm: Good observation. The new player is larger because it includes a musical instrument library (about 1.5 MB). It will be slower to load the player the first time. However, after that, the player should be in the browser cache, and thus will load much faster. Let us know if it's slow to load the player every time.]
