The Official When is Scratch Actually going to come out Topic
Hi Scratchers, Now I Don't know about you but I Think Scratch 2.0 Is to good to wait for it any Longer, But There is nothing we can do about it, Unfortunately it has just chosen it's path to take a year to build... But Hey, No Offence to the wonderful people building this project, But I am going to Set-Up this topic for everybody to comment on When, YOU Think Scratch 2.0 will open? It's all about Alphas and Beta and General Knowledge, and some real information could be good to! So everyone if possible Write down your Opinion and it doesn't have to be real ether... Just Thoughts will do! 
Please Note that if you were not around for the Alpha show off or have not read the Scratch 2.0 Wiki, and you don't know Scratch 2.0 At all then Don't just put, What is Scratch 2.0? How do I get it? Thanks...

This is based on the Mayan calendar with a 5125 year cycle that ends on 21st December 2012. However, the Mayan calendar didn't take into account leap years so the real date was around 2009. Since we're here, we're fine.

anyways like I said on that other topic somewhere else its going to take a LOT of time
don't expect any arbitrary release date because they dont want to have to delay it. it seems like the st really doesnt know how long development will take, and by selecting a deadline it will increase stress and make the community angry if it gets delayed

well hopefully that scratch 2.0 will be released before may 2013, i've been heard there is a bad solar storm coming and then will not play scratch anymore.

They got the new servers for the 2.0 website either today or yesterday, I can't remember. I saw it on Facebook.
EDIT: I meant Scratch's Facebook.

Also, they announced closing down the TBGs, a drastic measure which I'm sure they wouldn't have called if 2.0 was not too close.
