I know some C, but have forgotten most of it as I never had any use for it. I know Scratch veeryyyy well (I have been using Scratch for about a third of my life now!), but that doesn't really count and want to learn Python so I can make python games with pygame.
Also, BATCH IS NOT A PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE.
I do not want to argue, but IT IS NOT A PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE FOR MANY REASONS!

I count it as one.
The reason IMO is pretty stupid
There is a massive difference between markup languages and programming languages.
@01, mba Don't worry, there are lots of kids that don't know any computer programming (including markup).

I know the markup languages HTML and CSS, as well as fluently: PHP and Processing; somewhat: Javascript and Scratch; and a bit, Java.no,scratch is not a programming language.

Most kids at my school don't know what HTML or CSS or JavaScript or PHP or any other language are, let alone how to program with them

Yeah. I don't expect them to, it's not like it's vital or anything.

I still think it's dumb.

That's like replying to "what nouns do you know" with "run, fly, walk" and saying "the differences are dumb".
