If that's the case, then boy, do I have an alternative for you. Allow me to introduce you to Tame Impala! These guys are very interesting; they're rather new, but they try to mimick the sounds of late-'60s psychedelic rock. Their songs range from the Beatlesque whimsical number Elephant all the way to the Cream-like Half Full Glass of Wine.
Now here's a band worth talking about. Lead vocalist Kevin Parker can, at times, sound uncannily like John Lennon and the drum solo at the end of "Half Full Glass of Wine" is John Bonham if I ever heard it. All around, they're an excellent band, and I'm looking forward to hearing more by Tame Impala.
In the meantime, what do you think?

Isn't "hipster pop" contradictory?

^Yeah
I'm listening to InnerSpeaker, it's pretty good

I'm not sure what it is about it, but I don't really like it that much. Maybe it's the tone of the guitar and the very modern sounding drums. But I do like 60s imitators! The production just sounds off, I think.

Yeah, but this is showing an alternative to that pop music, not discussing that pop music itself.

I hate almost everything if not everything that is in top charts nowadays. I just can't stand this so called "music", it makes my ears bleed.
But I also don't like almost every classical rock songs I hear like o2, beatles, pink floyd, slash, kiss, jimmy hendrix etc... I think all these bands and musicians are overrated.

Nope, I think there are lots of better guitarists than him out there.
