Re: Toy Story

I saw the second, then the first, then the third when it came out. We have a VHS of the second, actually. And that order is how much I like each one. I like the first two, and the third wasn't very good.

The.

Trilogy.

Ever.

Made.

Forget LOTR, Star Wars, or BTTF. Toy Story, man.  big_smile  The first movie was the first film I had ever watched--I was four months old when I first saw it. I still have my old VHS copy of the first movie, and watch the entire trilogy pretty much every month.

Also, I saw the third movie in its midnight premiere. The theater was packed like crazy, and I had to sit in the front, but it was totally worth it. I probably saw the third movie like five times in the theater alone.  lol

Well, 2nd movie got 3rd to first, and 1st movie got 3rd to last. In your reasoning.  tongue

2nd was best, except for the boring part about Jessie's former owner.

First one was AMAZING.
Second one was even better.
Third one wasn't better than the first or second, but it was still very good.

Are you kidding me? Now, I agree with you about 2nd being the best, but that part was NOT boring. It was a pivotal and important part in the film. Without that song, the movie would have no heart or emotion, and then it wouldn't be critically acclaimed.

Why do you think all Toy Story movies (along with almost all Pixar movies, not counting Cars 2) are totally critically acclaimed? Because they all hold a special story, with a specific theme and heart that drives it forward.

I know I'm looking into this wayyyy too deep. But still.

They're good, but they can't hold up to serious movies like LOTR and Star Wars, or the superior comedy of BTTF (the first BTTF anyway, the trilogy as a whole is meh).

You're right.

Every comedy ever should be completely hilarious every second so the lowest common denominator doesn't get bored.

I would say Toy Story isn't expressly comedic, or even intended to be.

Re: Toy Story

I saw the third one, don't remember if I saw the first and second xD

When I went to NYC in Times Square, there were a bunch of people dressed as Mickey Mouse, Hello Kitty, Toy Story, etc.

Someone dressed as Woody from Toy Story came up to my mom and I and then said, "DO YOU WANT TO TAKE A PICTURE?!"  big_smile
..with an Indian accent.

WE WERE INVADED BY INDIAN PEOPLE TRYING TO SELL US STUFF
