I got a good name for the game. How about SplashDown? Also, what if you controlled with the arrow keys. The longer you fall, the faster you fall. But if you hit clouds on the way down, your falling speed would slow down.

Weaknesses: Spriting
Reason for joining: I just want to practice composing
Activeness: I check the forums every day and can post every day, but music compositions can only happen usually on weekends/holidays. however, i can finish a song in several hours if I try hard

I feel that splashdown is too much of a mouthful to say and doesn't quite sound smooth.
However, rainfall sounds kinda peaceful.
So rainfall.
I think because "rainfall" implies multiple drops, i think you should be able to control several drops at a time, and even if they get hurt/drunk by birds you have to keep at least one alive. The more you keep alive the better your score? And one of the powerups could be revive a drop?
After the level is over then you can upgrade.
and you can upgrade to get more drops, or more coins, or less enemies, etc.
Does anyone get this?

Well, it's going to be more of a race... So I don't think so. I'm so sorry I havent got the graphics up yet, my comp keeps crashing :'(

I vote Splashdown! Also, what if instead of a parachute, your raindrop evaporates into a cloud, then the cloud floats gently down.
