I have a suggestion that would allow the mouse cursor to be changed to a sprite.
The blocks would look like this:
set cursor to [sprite1 v] set cursor to default cursorThe 'set cursor to sprite' block would change the cursor image to a sprite, while the 'set cursor to default cursor' block would set the cursor back to the default cursor for that user's computer.

What if the cursor is bigger than the screen?
And Scratch doesn't use the computer's cursor. It uses the black with white outline one.
The cursor would be automatically downsized to the default cursor size.
If the project were in Scratch, the default cursor would be the black and white one. If the project were running off the Scratch website, the default cursor would be the computer's default cursor.

i think the same effect could be done simply by having the option to hide the mouse pointer. then you could build a sprite that functions as a cursor

But then trolls would just hide your cursor and make navigation tedious...
Maybe instead of being able to have any image as a mouse cursor, only certain-sized images could be used as mouse cursors, removing the need for automatic resizement...

I wonder what will happen if the browser disables the hiding of cursors...

well obviously the cursor would only hide when it's touching the project window...

However, we don't have a way to hide and show the cursor.

Good idea.
There is already a topic discussing that idea, so mods, you can close this topic.

Fullscreen.
As a rule, I don't believe Scratch should be able to hide the user's mouse - It's just rude.

Good thing my browser disables the disabling of mouse-cursors.

They would be cool, but it should be a dropdown with "Busy", "Normal", and "Hidden".
+1
It's been suggested before though, and some Scratch modifications have this block afaik.

a block wich sets the mouse pointer to X:0 and Y:0 would also be very useful for first person games, butpeople could make projects in wich you couldn't use the mouse, so they're probably never gonna add it...
It's impossible for Squeak to move the mouse. Flash too.
